Fairness is a social construct completely created by humans.
Even fairness as a social construct doesn’t really exist, as everyone has a different interpretation of its meaning. In theory, a life that has the average amount of suffering would be the closest definition of fairness, but suffering is subjective as well.
“Life isn’t fair” should be expanded to “nothing is fair,” as fairness doesn’t exist.
We all have an inner feeling that we want things to be just and fair, but this feeling comes from the ego. We want life to be something that it is not. We want life to be something that doesn’t exist.
Our lives and the things we all go through shouldn’t be looked at in the lens of fairness, as each of us has our own life and challenges we go through.
PTSD, bad childhood memories, or unfortunate luck financially are all examples of obstacles that are presented to us. Our reaction to these obstacles defines who we are. I propose you do not allow these “unfair” obstacles to have any control over you. Accept they were part of the complex equation to form who you are and develop the thick skin that will allow you to openly discuss them without a negative connotation at all.
