The virtue of Satoshi Nakamoto.

A vision of improving the world is a virtuous pursuit. To desire credit for improving the world is a selfish pursuit and a manifestation of the ego.

Satoshi Nakamoto is a perfect example of a person who wanted to improve the world by creating Bitcoin while having a limited enough ego to know the identity of the creator should remain anonymous. If Satoshi reveled their true identity, it would only have downsides. People would look at the flaws the creator and project them onto Bitcoin. What kinds of things did Satoshi like? What flaws did Satoshi have? Did Satoshi have any links to “bad people?”

All these critiques would take away and distract from the underlying virtue of the pursuit. Bitcoin would be tarnished by the flaws of the creator.

Think about this in your daily life, and allow your ego to be set aside when you feel you don’t get the credit you deserve for good deeds. This is a selfish thought, and you must not allow yourself to tarnish your own virtue.
