Nihilists believe there is no subjective or objective meaning in the universe, and thus every choice is ultimately meaningless.
No human can exist in modern society if they truly believe this.
We go about our day making conscious decisions to preserve our lives, such as buckling our seatbelts and stopping at red lights.
If every choice was meaningless, why would we take so many actions to survive?
The answer is any self-proclaimed Nihilist has an underlying subjective reason for living, they just cannot articulate it. Do they think pleasure is preferred to pain and choose to pursue Hedonic pursuits? Do they acknowledge that love and beauty existing in the world has value and pursue it? Only they can look honestly within and find the truth.
