Welcome to Hellvault, An open source Excel based automated D&D Map for 1-4 players.

Welcome to the open source Excel based map: the Hellvault. I have created this method to fill a void I could not find: an Excel based map to play Dungeons and Dragons on.

Features of the map:

• Fog of war.

  • Players will need to try to remember where they have been, increasing immersion.

• 1-4 players.

• Randomized effects to keep you on your toes:

  • Fireball: -5hp.

  • Paralyzed: Saving Throws (ST's).

  • Poisoned: -2hp and ST's.

  • Lightning: -1hp.

• Monsters and treasure scattered throughout.

  • Monsters can be moved. Once you find a monster, consider using the free monster generator file I created:

To start playing, simply open the file, enable macros (may require saving to your PC), and move one of the four icons. After every turn, you can click "next turn" to refresh the fog of war. After each turn, the random effects articulated in the key will refresh.

Please note this is considered in a beta phase. In its current form, I can create additional maps as-is, but the final vision would be to create a random map generator with some added logic.
